Teamwork requires communication – we all have our preferred style (the PCSI Workshop is a simple tool to provide great insight) and it requires psychological safety. What’s your part in making that happen so that your team is functioning at its optimal level?
Regardless of with whom this conversation needs to happen, feeling safe and knowing you can trust the person to hear the message in the way you intend it, is key. Remember to listen carefully to what the message is, deep contextual listening as well asking questions when you don’t understand.
This method can be used to support any conversation, whether it be related to your professional life, with team members, supervisors, and direct reports. It can also be used in your personal life, having those conversations that can feel awkward and perhaps challenging.See Workshop Packages
The following programs can help enhance your personal or professional development, often by the time the session ends. It’s not that any of these are topics you won’t recognize, but sometimes hearing the message again, or in a new way, has the most powerful impact.
As a basis for group training, each topic provides substantive knowledge, an opportunity to have fun with your colleagues and a chance to grow your development portfolio. Programs are always tailored to the needs of your organization.
The mastery of skills to communicate in a much more sophisticated and knowledgeable way is critical to bringing the results we desire in our world, both personally and professionally. In her book, Fierce Conversations, Susan Scott provides an outline for having those conversations that are difficult yet necessary to have, especially as leaders. Fierce is defined as – robust, intense, strong, powerful, passionate, eager and unbridled. These adjectives aptly describe the conversations that, as Ken Blanchard describes “can change the trajectory of a career, a business, a marriage or a life. The conversation is the relationship.”
This workshop details the process Scott has successfully replicated countless times. As a leader, it is your responsibility to address issues as they occur. “As a leader, you get what you tolerate.”
