Teamwork requires communication – we all have our preferred style (the PCSI Workshop is a simple tool to provide great insight) and it requires psychological safety. What’s your part in making that happen so that your team is functioning at its optimal level?
Regardless of with whom this conversation needs to happen, feeling safe and knowing you can trust the person to hear the message in the way you intend it, is key. Remember to listen carefully to what the message is, deep contextual listening as well asking questions when you don’t understand.
This method can be used to support any conversation, whether it be related to your professional life, with team members, supervisors, and direct reports. It can also be used in your personal life, having those conversations that can feel awkward and perhaps challenging.
